MY COMPUTER
the day  is not complete without a battle with my computer.

it's easier to arrange computer than houseplants; it's easier to arrange houseplants than furniture; it's easierto arrange furniture than the landscape or the architecture:  SO THE BEST BET IS TO STAY WITH THE COMPUTER... cheaper too.

ON TOURISM

""the curse of tourism is that it destroys what it values".  AMEN TO THAT!.  this is not the last you'll hear about this one.

ON CLIMATE CHANGE

ANTHROPOMORPHIC GLOBAL WARMING -well subtly put. 12/2018 Wash.Post.

BOOKS I'VE READ RECENTLY THAT I'VE REALLY ENJOYED:

AUTHOR:  MIN JIN LEE.  Korean-American writing about the experience of Koreans who have immigrated to other countrues.   PACHINCO  involves  the unfortunate experience of Koreans in Japan), and FREE FOOD FOR MILLIONAIRS, Koreans in New York City.  Her story is treated in depth and is very informative, and very well delineated characters.  These books kept me happily occupied for some time.  Best i've read for some time.

SUSAN ORLEANS:  Library Book, and Orchid Thief.  I love journalists - facts and information made fun and easy.  John McPhee is my favorite.

WE HAVE TICKETS TO GO ON THIS TRIP NEXT FEBRUARY! LOOKS EXCITING.
